I got a message a few months ago that I’ve thought about more than the person who sent it probably intended. It said: “I don’t want to know which sign is the meanest. What makes this genuinely hard is that there’s nothing to negotiate with. It isn’t emotional, so you can’t reach it emotionally, and it isn’t impulsive, so you can’t wait it out. The practical test is small and specific. Pick one week and note every time you did the thing your sign is known for — withdrew, corrected, deflected, went quiet, changed the story, made the decision alone. Just note it, no analysis.
